Truth:
Both traditions place absolute importance on truthfulness. The Quran commands: "O you who believe! Fear Allah, and be with those who are true (in word and deed)" (9:119). The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise." In Hinduism, Satya (truth) is one of the five Yamas (ethical restraints) and is considered fundamental to spiritual growth. The Mahabharata states: "Truth is the highest virtue." Both traditions teach that truth is the foundation of all other virtues and that lying is a major sin.
