Truth:

Both traditions place peace as a fundamental value. "Islam" itself means "peace" and "submission to God." The Quran states: "And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace" (25:63). Hindus chant "Om Shanti Shanti Shanti" (peace, peace, peace) in prayers. Both traditions: 1) Greet with peace, 2) Pray for peace, 3) Teach non-violence, 4) Promote harmony, 5) View peace as divine. The Quran describes Paradise as "Dar as-Salam" (abode of peace), and Hindu scriptures describe peace as the highest goal. Both view peace as essential for individual and social well-being. The emphasis on peace in both traditions has contributed to their ability to coexist and create harmonious societies.
