Both traditions teach modesty in dress and behavior. In Islam, both men and women are required to dress modestly, with women covering their hair (Hijab) and body in loose-fitting clothes. The Quran states: "O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments" (33:59). In Hinduism, traditional dress codes also emphasize modesty, with women often covering their heads with dupatta or saree, and both genders wearing appropriate clothing in temples. Both traditions teach that: 1) Modesty is a virtue, 2) Dress should reflect inner piety, 3) Respect for oneself and others, 4) Focus on inner beauty over outer appearance. Both aim to preserve dignity and promote respect in society.
